There are so many baby skincare brands available in the Indian market nowadays that a consumer is bound to get confused. While growing up we just had just Johnson& Johnson products around and our mums were happy using them. Even though this brand is very good and gentle, there are many other products available in the Indian market that are even better.
Being a mother I have always opted for the best products for my child. I normally I try to find products which are paraben free. Parabens are a class of widely used preservatives in cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. They have many side effects and they are even said to cause certain cancers when used continuously for a long period of time. However there is no definite proof regarding this and researches are going on.
Brands like Pegion, Chicco, Palmers, Aveno, Mothercare, Meemee and Himalaya are free from parabens. You even get fragrance free version of the skincare products in brands like Pegion. These brands are available online at ww.firstcry.com, www.amazon.in, www.babyoye.com etc. Some baby stores like Me and mom and others have these skincare brands. We don't find advertisement of these brands in the television and hence most people are unaware of them. Palmers and Aveno products are imported and therefore are a little expensive. Indian consumers prefer good and cheap products and so if we try to get a good skincare product for the baby which are reasonably priced, we can opt for Himalaya bay range products.
